Notes
This 'page' provides a list of all SASC members who have been placed in the top 100 of the Army Service Rifle Championship at Bisley since 1954 (the past 53 years). Also given is the year/s they achieved the list.
Before 1957 the list was the 'Army 50', the top 50 competitors only.
The 1991 Army Championship was suspended. (Gulf War)
In 1994 only the top 50 were listed.
In 1995 a qualifying score was applied and only 56 'qualified'.
In 1996 & '97 only 120 competitors took part in the Champinship.
Ranks are not shown in this alphabetical list since these varied according to promotion and the year of participation.
Placings up to 2004 for each year and rank in the year of shooting were published in an article in the ' Man At Arms 2005', the SASC Journal, or can be obtained from the Regimental Secretary.
The 79 SASC members on the list achieved 261 places of the Army 100 during the past 55 years (52 Championships).
Average of 5 places per year.
