Apart from the regular attending serving and past members it was delightful to see Mrs Evelyn Barnett, wife of the late WO2 Barnett who joined the SASC in September 1941 from the Royal Scots Fusiliers. She attended accompanied by her daughter Maureen and Maureen's husband Geoffrey Sinfield.

There is a rumour that after the social the Red LIon saw a continuation of the evening, at least there are unpublished photographs which bear witness to this.
